Installed this on my 12k generator. My generator didn't come with a current meter so i had no way to monitor the load on each leg. Wired this into the panel and notched out holes in the frame. Now i can read the amp draw.

Easy to install. Used it to monitor the two powered lines out of an emergency generator in the electrical panel.

I have been using these to get people that want solar to understand how much power they are using and it's working great. You can also see how much power you are using from the electric company to see if they are measuring right. If u have just a little electrical know how then you can do it.

I used this for a small apartment's panel still fed from a 30 amp 240 V main. Commenters had said the CT wires were short and would need to solder additional lengths. That was true even though I put them right above the panel. You're on your own as far as what you use to mount the meters into. I used stiff plastic with little windows cut out, then covered it with a pretty wrapper. It works well. You can set an alarm setpoint on each meter where it will flash rapidly. I set 25A and saw it once with coffee maker and microwave running on the same circuit. Just like in an RV, you can run anything but just not all at the same time. This is my second set ordered for a different (100 amp) panel.

A great and cost-effective solution to monitor power consumption for my 100A 120/240V 1-PH man cave electric panel. These power meters (one for each phase) display amperage, voltage, watts, frequency and records kWH, which is resettable. I flush mounted these accurate, easy to use, easy to read power meters in the lid of a 5”x8”x3” ABS project box.

I bought this pair to be able to track how much power my woodshop is consuming on a monthly basis. I used one for each leg of the 240 volt split phase panel. I had an enclosure and just cut holes for the display units. I extended the wires of the CT's with a similar gage wire with barrel crimps; and clipped the CT's over the incoming power cables. Only problem I had was I installed them upside down the first time because of the label orientation, and had to unsnap the clips and reverse everything. I used awg 12 for the voltage leads and tied it into a 240 volt ckt. (I know it should never get close to that ampacity, but if there was a short ckt, the breaker should trip without blowing the wires).Anyway, they work great. I am able to track my power consumption. It even reads power factor if you have induction motor and want to know if power factor correction is needed. Only complaint is when it goes over 10 KWH, it adds a leading zero. This makes it look like fractional KWH and I was confused at first until I realized there was no decimal point, just a leading 0.

These meters are installed easily, look and work great. I installed both meter digital displays in a 4x4-inch Cantex PVC junction box. Mounted the box just below the outside of my electrical panel and ran the wires through a knockout on the bottom of the panel and in a hole I drilled in the back of the junction box. Now I can accurately monitor the usage of this electrical sub-panel.

So I run a small machining business in my garage. I have a large CNC machine, 20HP phase convertor, air compressors, 8000 w heater, air conditioner. I installed these on both legs of my 100a panel so I can monitor the current draw and try to balance the load etc. they work really well so far. You can also use them to figure out the draw of a particular item in the house by just looking at the before and after values when you power it up. Very handy.

Easy to connect up and they give a lot of information. Frequency amps volts. Current transformers just clamp around the wire your monitoring. Also show accumulated KW.
