The first time we used it I thought it was too small but it actually fit perfectly you just have to push it on. Works great for removing pool filter housing.

This tool is a godsend if you have a Sta-Rite filter system. There are 7 clamps that must be removed in order to get to the filters. Without this tool you'll really give your hands a workout. This tool saves at least a half hour. Attaches to your drill or electric screwdriver easily. Get one of you want to save time and keep your filters clean. Kind of pricey, but try to find one for less. Good luck.

Cleaning our pool filter is a chore we dread, but this tool makes it a little easier. Unscrewing the large knobs to open the filter housing, and then tightening them again at the end was a real wrestling match. This tool and a portable drill make it a breeze. In just a few seconds and with minimum effort we can open and later close the knobs perfectly. Definitely worth the money!

Great product that I never knew existed after tearing up hands especially at opening with every few hours filter needs to be torn down and cleaned to operate. This years heavy pollen made non stop cleaning of filter necessary. This tool saves especially arthritic hands from pain as hand tightening was always the key to these new high pressure systems as to not over torque. Tool is hand and time saver, thank you. PS cordless drill really helps with the included bit.

Undoing (and the retightening) the 6 or 7 knobs - depending on model - makes cleaning the filter media a royal pain with StaRite pool filters - especially during tree-pollen season when it must be done every few days. With this adapter you can do the work quickly with an impact wrench or power drill. Highly recommended. I discovered this product by watching the guys who close my pool in the fall and reopen it in the spring.

I wish I bought this years ago. I hate cleaning my filters because it is such a pain opening and tightening the knobs. I end up with forearm pump, sore thumb joint and achy hands. I'm a big, strong guy, with big hands, and it is still really is a major pain.This tool makes it a breeze! Immediately I knew it would be amazing when it cracked open the first knob in about 2 seconds. I had all 7 knobs loosened and removed in probably a minute. Removed and rinsed the filters, replaced them in maybe 10 minutes (estimated). Log back on and tightened in about 2 minutes. I couldn't believe how fast the whole process was, and no sore hands and forearms.People complain in the reviews that the drill adapter pops out easily - and that is true. It pops off, leaving the blue part connected to the knob. I found that by not putting the blue part all the way onto the knob helped prevent this. Hopefully in future versions, they make it so the drill adapter locks on better. Even with this flaw, I still give the tool 5 stars, because it REALLY DOES make the process so much easier. I definitely recommend buying this thing before your next filter cleaning.
