Modesto Milling was established in 1974 as a Dairymen's Cooperative. In 1997, they started manufacturing organic dairy grain mixes. By January 1998, Modesto Milling gained its organic certification from Oregon Tilth and officially became the first organic grain processor in Central California. Modesto Milling processed conventional and organic feed until August of 2007, when the Board of Directors voted to convert the mill's manufacturing to 100% organic feed.
So if you have horses, dairy cows, poultry, goats or rabbits, this is the place for organic feed.

Use: Chick starter and grower crumbles have a minimum of 22% protein and are used to start out baby chicks. Use this formula for the whole 4- to 6-week grow out period. This feed can also be fed up to 18 weeks when your hens start laying eggs.

I started my chicks on this product. Both the meat birds and the future layers did very well with this! Unfortunately, Azure was out of stock when I really needed more, so I ended up using an organic feed I could pick up locally, which cost me significantly more. I would definitely get this again, though.
