This is good for removing floating weeds & I guess for cutting heavy or stiff weeds at the roots as it claims. I got it for american pond weed which it Does NOT cut at the root at all. Any soft weeds like that will NOT work with this! Best to get in the pond in a pool chair & weed it out with your feet! Cheaper too! Handle extension fine but a bit hard to take apart.
