next to a good impact driver, this might be my favorite tool Ive ever purchased. Works perfectly and makes perfect flares every single time, just dont forget the fitting before flaring!

This unit works great at the bench or where you have plenty of room. Too clumsy to be used in tight spaces. Deburring is key to good flares. Easy to use. Very consistent results.

Is it pricey? Yes, it is. If you have to make a lot of flares this will pay for itself quickly just due to lack of frustration. If you have used the old manual flaring tools in the past, then you know how unpredictable your results can be. This tool does not discriminate between different tubing alloys or sizes. It will put the perfect flare on steel just as easily as it will on nickel/copper. The option to make transmission fitting flares is also a godsend.

    I have only used this tool on one small automotive project and the 4 double flares turned out flawlessly. Each and everyone turned out the same. Kind of expensive but after several jobs it will pay for itself. Definitely recommend this flaring tool.

    It cuts and flairs stainless 3/8 fuel line perfectly you do have to crank on the die clamp pretty damn hard to get it to bite into the stainless but works well is slightly difficult to keep the dies from falling out with the tool up in the vehicle but still works great id buy it again
