Overall pretty effective stuff. Since I dont do home A/C work for a living all I had to solder with was a home-owner style MAP/OXY setup. It worked, but took longer to heat up the work than the usual OXY/ACE setup. The extra time meant the valves got hotter and seemed very iffy with a rag(not to mention a rag actively cools the area down youre trying to solder).This kept the valves as cool if not cooler than the rag did and allowed me to get the work hotter faster, which was key with my torch setup. The trade off is its nasty to put on and clean off.
