Full disclosure - I do not play a guitar. I have one, but that was not why I purchased this product.I recently purchased a beautiful combination dining room table / gaming table from a company near us (Carolina Game Tables - you should check out their products). It has an incredible finish on it and it super glossy and super nice.In a moment of unclear thinking, one of my older children sat something on it and slid it across the tabletop, leaving four diagonal scuffs/scratches on the surface that were heartbreaking. They would not wipe off or simply buff out and I thought they were there to stay.I did some research, though, and found this product. I figured if it was good enough for glossy guitars that it was good enough for our table, and I was right.I tested it on an out-of-the-way part of the table (just to make sure), and after no adverse reaction with the coating of the table, I gave it a shot.It took about 15 minutes of carefully rubbing the first compound into the scuffs, then polishing it off. It took about five cycles of applications, rubbing it along the lengths of the scuffs with a soft clean terry cloth, then buffing it off using what the bottle refers to as medium pressure, but it was worth it. The scuffs are completely gone. I left it alone overnight, then applied the second half (the polish compound) the next morning and the table top is literally good as new.I could not be happier with this product and recommend it for any wood surface that has a glossy hard coating on it.
