gave 4 stars as not as good quality as name brand. The mesh has smaller eye holes versus other nets so good if you are looking to catch those finer particles in the water. I mostly use for top leaf cleaning and with smaller eye hole mesh screens, the resistance against water is higher and therefore the net is "slower" in the pool when skimming the surface due to higher resistance as less water is allowed to pass through. Overall, SOLID GOOD!

Highly Recommend! Why?? For my old pool, I like the semi-rubber lip at the edge of the scoop to scoop up debris. Other net scoop that do not have this feature makes it harder to use; to pick up stuff at the bottom of the pool. AND for some reason, there isnt a lot of drag or resistance force in the water as you use it -so it makes it A LOT easier to use.

I got this after a recent wind storm where my pool got full of leaves and dirt and my former net ended up full of holes. The "double layer" aspect appealed to me, I was assuming the coarse mesh would get the big stuff then the finer mesh would get the little stuff but that's not how this is designed. The coarse mesh is on the outside of the fine mesh bag and is stitched such that is anything gets through the fine mesh it will just dump out the bottom of the coarse mesh as it is only attached on the top, toward the mouth of the bag, and along the sides. The fine mesh is also a lot coarser than I would have expected. I was also hoping that the rubber edge would do a better job of getting stuff off the bottom of the pool but it just sticks. You have to make the thing kind of hop along the bottom so while it is making stuff raise up it's also jumping over that stuff. I appreciate the manufacturer trying to do something different but I guess this is an example of a product where you have to just buy from a local store so you can get something that works. The inspiration for this product was spot on but the execution is a nearly complete failure. The only reason I won't send it back is that it is marginally better than the one full of holes that it's replacing.
