I absolutely love this set, I am an ASE certified master and a Nissan certified master technician in Bangor Maine where we have extremely rust vehicles, I use this set constantly, tap the right size on whatever you have rounded off and bust it loose, I’ve literally have not come across a bolt or nut I haven’t been able to remove with this set, they either break the fixture free or the fixture will break. These also do not wear as easily or quickly as the cheaper sets I’ve used in the past. I highly recommend.

Worked great to remove a differential drain bolt that a previous owner had overtightned and rounded off. Used a 2 foot long 1/2 inch helper bar (and still lifted my body of the ground before it broke loose).

I only needed one socket for this project (15/16 -24mm), but I'm glad I purchased the set. The price is dramatically lower than buying any three of them, and I'll have them onhand when I discover the next challenge the previous owner forgot to tell me about.

I have several Irwin tools, and all have served me well (some for 25+ years).

The first thing I used these on were some rotted skid plate bolts on the bottom of my truck. The salt corrosion is so bad the heads would round before I could put any real torque on them. Once I popped these onto my 3/8" impact gun I was able to zip one right out. The next one snapped the head off the bolt. Annoying but that's not the tools fault. That just shows how much torque I was able to apply using these and I was able to get the skid plate down and out of the way so I could drill the rest of that bolt out. I love these. I bought the expansion set just in case I need them in the future. All the Irwin extractors seem great.

These do not work with a ratchet. All I was able to do was file down my bolt more an more with these. Perhaps they would work if I has room to hammer them on, or to use a drill. In then end I had to go old school, remove 4 other parts and then remove the bad bolt with vice grips. I'll save this kit for another day.

bought these to remove the cam sprocket bolts on my subaru engine project. They just wouldn't get enough bite to do the job. I admit these bolts are notoriously difficult to remove. Maybe on a rounded off hex head bolt they would have worked. But on the allen head of the bolts I needed to remove they just wouldn't grip. Even when a smaller size was pounded on. Ended up having to weld a nut on to get them removed. Was a waste of time and money for my purposes.
