I thought these( based on measurements) would be a drop in replacement woofer for a pair of Realistic Minimus 77's...they were not .while the diagonal measurements were true, the width was a little misleading. I could have modified the opening or made a baffle to mount them ...but then the grills would not have fit. Guess I'll continue my search

I purchased 2 of these to replace my old JBL Control One subwoofer amp; they were a bit too big for slots made for them. Had to replace them from another store.

These speakers are a drop in replacement for Optimus LX-5 Pro Speakers. The only thing I had to modify was the negative speaker line. It has a bigger connector. They sound great as well. Original speakers were 6 ohm, and these are 8 ohm. I don't think it makes much of a difference since it's a woofer.

Yeah yeah the impedance on these (8 ohms) is different from the factory woofers (6 ohms) in the LX5 Pros but they sound great anyway and are direct drop ins for the OG woofers whose foam surrounds had turned to dust. Speakers are up and running and sound great again.

These sounded better than I thought they would. I used them for a center channel, replacing some old infinity speakers and they are outstanding.

Goldwood 5 8 Ohm... I replaced the bass speakers in an Optimus (Pro LX-511) pair I use for sound field fill in a surround system. I'm happy with the results, but I had to space these speakers back away from the aperture because their foam surrounds touched the edge of the cutout. I used grommets (0.330 OD, 0.156 ID, 0.270 High), 1 at each mounting screw, didn't tighten the screws. To assure the screws would not come loose, I put RTV on them. (See photo) Been using the system for 2 weeks, no buzzing; checked screws, all OK. I will track performance and report any long term degradation of the speakers and mounting system.

Replaced the woofers in a pair of LX5II with rotted surrounds. They are rear-mounted and fit easily, with a good seal and enough clearance for the slightly wider surrounds, thanks to the gasket. (Driver is actually centered, but looks off in the pic due to camera angle.) I soldered the wires due to different sized connectors. Easy repair. My original LX5 drivers are 6 ohm, these are 8. They sound fine for our purposes (low volume background music,) but a more ambitious person would probably want to modify the crossover accordingly. Not sure how they compare to the originals (because the originals have rotted surrounds, obviously.) Goldwood also has a 4 ohm version available.Great price for the pair
