Alright so clearing the air from the 1 star wonder because yeah why review a product when it was not tried by the reviewer.I bought this exact model at Sports Authority for group gatherings and film crews. It gets the job done. It is not super loud but if you speak real loud into it you can get a group of 60 to 70 to hear you well and pay attention.If talking loud into the megaphone doesn't work there is a built in siren that is twice as loud as the talking. I hit that thing only once for a few seconds and everyone cringes.I am not sure how it will hold up over time since I have only had it for a few weeks.Req:AA Batteries and is easy to replace.A loud voice - If you speak soft or can't talk loud or scream into it then it will not work the way you wishThe size is a bit smaller than most but it is perfect for travel and also you can drive your dogs mad just by talking loud through it in the house.

I use this to call the kids when they are upstairs with the doors closed. I love it! It was a Christmas present.
