This speaker lived for one month. Wasn't abused. Played pretty low. Turned up high once. That's all it took. If you're replacing a speaker and keeping things mild, this might be ok. You get what you pay for.

I put it in an old JBL PA Subwoofer box and it sounds great as the woofer for my center channel speaker system in my surround setup.

Replaced old paper speakers with these poly speakers. Sound quality is nice. Wish the sensitivity could be higher.

These speakers are well constructed and have decent voiceing and bass. Once they broke in they sound better and better.... They need around 10 hours of decent volume to fully loosen up.. but once they did they sound great

Well, I guess we don't have to spend lots of money for simple speaker replacements as we did in the 80s and 90s. This woofer is constructed very nice and looks great and most of all the sound quality is impressive within the 40 year old cabinet it is installed in. I highly recommend this replacement woofer.

Had Sony sound system/speakers from the 90’s but the speakers were bad. Sony had discontinued replacements. Took a chance on these. Installation required a trim on the box because the speaker “lip” was not the same - easy adjustment. WOW they sound great and the price point was perfect.

Don’t mind the dog hair, I have two shepherds lol. I bought two of these to build a sealed box, wired for 4ohm, powered by a Fosi sub amp and for music, (I am a metal head) these rock and really pressurize my smallish man cave (about 10’x15’) much better than two ported Polk subs I replaced. For movies, they bottom out with the really low frequencies (sub 50mhz) but, again, for music they pound and well worth the money.

These speakers thump. I thought they were going to suck because they were super cheap. I was wrong. They are louder than the Sonys I was rocking. I run a fabrication shop and it's a loud environment so take that with a grain of salt. All my workers are stoked on the new speakers. If you're an audiophile lookelsewhere. If you wanna just rock out while you're working, these are the speakers for you. Sidenote, they are 8 ohm speakers. I ran two 12 inch woofers in each speaker box with parallel wiring. Old school amp was set to 8 ohms. Boom! Boom! Boom!

Re-foamed my 50year-old woofers--I ref-oamed several years ago. The refosm came somewhat undone this year. I jerry-rigged that, soon afterwards purchasing these. The butyl rings for these young-uns is better than foam--it's not invincible, though. As for the universal speaker mounting rings and cone here, the 12 enclosure hole-size, and the four Advent holes/screws fit and work superbly.More presence, efficiency, longevity result: Modern tech wins! (Why should that be a surprise?!) A great value, too!No more fooling with paper cones, foam rings, cruudy old debris, difficult model airplane glue application, old glue removal, urgency--and, straining at gnats. Move on to other projects and enjoyments....I say Proceed: Everything about logistics, install, and performance was/is great! (Every new speaker setup requires a little time to break-in.)

I had mice chew the actual cones from my Vega 12s. These were 4 ohm woofers and I plan to recone them. I finally got tired of having the speakers down and ran across these. They are 8 ohm and are subwoofers but I thought why not it will at least provide the cabinets with some lower end. They worked excellent for this application. Screw holes lined up and they are lacking in the mid bass which I expected but they provided a nice fill in the larger ported Vega cabinets.

Replacement for old 3 way floor standing Radio Shack full range speaker systems. A very good choice.
