How to measure:
** Back: Measure length of pet's back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
** Neck: Measure the circumference of pet's neck for a snug fit. No need to add inches as you would with a collar.
** Chest/Girth: Measure girth around the broadest part of the chest and add 2". (can be downloaded as PDF file).

Life jacket fit my Pomeranian puppy perfectly. Even though he wasn't too thrilled about having it on at first he quickly got used to it and had fun out in the ocean with the rest of the family. I'm going to have to order a bigger size soon.

We have a 3 month old Rhodesian ridgeback who weighs about 35 pounds and we bought the large life jacket. I wanted to make it last as he grows into it. Right now the large fits him when all the straps and velcro are pulled to the tightest settings. This is great because the same size should last my puppy a long time. We wanted to take our puppy canoeing and he knows how to swim and actually likes the water, but the added security of the handle on the back of this live jacket is really why I decided he needed one. This handle makes it so easy to grab the wet, swimming dog and pull him back onto the canoe if he falls or jumps out, which would be nearly impossible without it. I also love that this life jacket also has a place to attach a leash. The life jacket is easy to get on and off the dog and he doesn't seem to mind when he is wearing it.
