Coming from a manual feed shredder this thing is great! We can fill it up, let it go to work, and do other things while it does the heavy lifting. We are using it in our home office, with lots of very old documents to dispose of. Not sure how it would be in a commercial setting, but for us it's almost perfect. Only wish it would do credit cards and paper clips. But for old files, we could not be happier.

So if you have a partner who has insisted on keeping boxes and boxes of papers over the last 20 years, you need this shredder. Do not, I repeat DO NOT buy the smaller shredders that only allow 6-8 pages at a time, because that machine will overheat and you'll constantly be turning it off and letting it cool off. It's a waste of time and money. Plus, those machines are messy to empty and the probability of cutting yourself is really high. This machine is fantastic because to empty it, you just pull out the bottom where the paper bits come down - no exposure to the blades, and no mess. You can shred a few pages at a time up top, or I believe up to 60 pages by placing the stack under the lid. SIXTY PAGES, people!

GBC Paper Shredder, Auto Feed, 150 Sheet CapacityI was excited to try this shredder from GBC as I have an old Fellows unit that I could replace with this. It's a mixed bag for me as the Fellows I have has some better features though overall the GBC wins the challenge for some very helpful features the Fellows does have.The major advantages for my old Fellows are; it can do 12 pages in a crosscut shred. That means some envelopes can go in as is. The 8 page limit of the GBC is a hinderance. Both are quiet. The Fellows can munch CDs and DVDs and plastic credit cards, pretty fancy for its age, about ten plus years, I forgot the exact age. The orientation of each is opposite. The Fellows is long and the drawer pulls out from the side and can be lined with a plastic bag for easy trash. The GBC is wide and isn't as convenient for me but your situation may be the opposite. The big advantages of the GBC and why I'll switch are the auto feeder is awesome for neat stacks of paper destruction. Also combined with that the longer run time thanks I believe to the internal cooling fan. The Fellows goes for awhile but not the rated 30 minutes the GBC is rated for. I didn't have enough to destroy to give it the beans but it impressed me with its pension for destruction.I'm going to make the switch and rearrange my space to accommodate the GBC. I wish the GBC came with wheels as it's heavier than the Fellows and it would make it so much easier to deal with. I'll be looking for a solution for this but really, aren't wheels a cheap enough feature to just include them? I'm striking a point for the wheels, alone! The rest is pretty good and makes me happy for the actual shredding part. Is is perfect, no, that's why they have so many more models to choose from. I have this one and it's OK for me in total. If the features speak to you great if something is missing then check the other models. You may find one you like, the brand is good.

This is a junior beast! I say junior because they actually have a bigger one of these available. This shredded a couple of boxes full of papers very easily and very fast. This shredder is easy to move around for its size. This is a machine that is very easy to use and does the job extremely well. This can be used in an office, any commercial setting or even at home. This shredder leaves everything nicely shredded and easy to throw away. Overall a great machine that works as described!

Very nice shredder. Has no problem cutting through cards or cds as well as a stack of 60 pieces of paper. This does not struggle at all. This is much better than the 2 other small shredders I have and putting those 2 together still is not as good as this one unit. Will never use the old ones again. Deff recommend to friends, and would gladly buy again. it could be used for a small office as it is that powerful.

This is such a huge improvement. Our last paper shredder would get jammed or overheat all the time. It actually encouraged me to throw away sensitive items because I didn't want to deal with it. This is next level. It works super well and it's very smooth.

I really love this put a pile in, press the button, and walk away shredder. You don't have to feed each individual item, which is great when you have a pile of papers to shred.There are limitations to the auto-shred, such as cards and small pieces of paper. It has to be big enough to grab when in the tray. But if you are cleaning out a bunch of personal documents or a small office, this is great to have. I haven't tried shredding things that are stapled yet. Not sure how that will work with the feeder.

This paper shredder is definitely an improvement to my older trusty unit, which is a lot smaller. First, it does have a rather large footprint and I had to move it out of my small office. The design is somewhat professional, which I appreciate. The black/silver finish looks nice in my opinion. Although it is made mostly of plastic, it looks sturdy enough -and is heavy. I did notice that the top front silver part already shows scuffs making it look older than it is. The lid requires a bit of effort to open and close, but this makes it more secure.Using it simple. Either feed it manually from the top or place sheets inside and push a button. In automatic mode, I tried several items such as a small stack of 20 or so, thicker legal paper, fliers, and paper of varying sizes. Then manually I tried empty full size and regular envelopes as well as folded mail. While it is much faster than my older shredder, I thought it took less time than expected. The same goes for noise, as it is slightly quieter. The finished shredded paper comes out very fine and in no way can ever be pieced again, so that's great for security.I also tried shredding a couple of credit cards, thicker envelopes, and even a poster. This shredder had no problems. I tried it for over an hour straight to see when I'd see the overheating notice, but it never came up. The cooling fan seems to be doing its job well.I like the quality-of-life options this shredder offers. The buttons are very visible and are easy to identify, and tell when the device is ready, shredding, jammed, or full. Speaking of space, this can take a lot to be filled.In the end, this is certainly an upgrade from what I had, but it does come at a much higher price tag. If you deal with constant sensitive information that must be securely discarded, this is a no-brainer. For the occasional or casual user, a smaller unit may be best.

Large shredder that can shred 150 sheets of paper. Load it and shut the top and it automatically starts shredding and stops when it's done. It has power button to put it in sleep mode and comes to life when you open it and load it. Feed and reverse buttons in case of a jam. It will shred credit, debit cards and thicker paper through the slot in the top. I used it for 3.5 hours straight and it never overheated or stopped. It also tells you when the bin is full. Shredded paper size is around 3/16 by half inch or so. Definitely my go-to shredder now.
