I used this product on new, light cream-colored hiking boots (suede) and a new backpack (shiny fabric-sorry, I cannot determine exactly what fabric type). I took both on a trip to a windy, rainy place. They held up beautifully! Especially the hiking boots took a big hit of mud, dust, debris in rainy conditions. I simply brushed them off with a damp towel and my boots look like new! I also sprayed the cushy, foamy soles and those remained protected as well. I had also stepped into a stream and submerged the bottom of the boots a bit over the soles my feet stayed completely dry. This might speak more to the boots than the actual water-proofing, but I believe it was a combination of the two. I should also mention that this product did not alter the color of either the boots or backpack materials it was applied to in any way! I am VERY happy with this product!

Beware, it's been almost a year since I used this on my dining chairs. I don't know what is in it, but it seems to hold any humidity inside the surface, and over time causes my upholstered chairs to smell like mildew. I had to invest in an upholstery cleaner to get the smell out. I am pretty sure it's the Scotchguard because this has never happened before to any of my other chairs. So just be very careful. I have heard of our similar products that actually work and don't leave a mildew smell over time like this.

Make sure you patch test!! I did based on other reviews and found that it turned my white pillows yellow, not ideal!

Works for it's intention but you definitely will not want to be in the room for 24 hrs after spraying it on your furniture. A very strong chemical smell that lingers for awhile.

Sprayed this over an embroidered logo, let dry overnight and there's clearly a stain where it was sprayed. Hopefully it washes out.

Overall it works well but I would apply it outside (the initial smell while spraying is very strong) and put something on the ground, it is a little sticky

This product worksI sprayed my uggs 15 minutes before leaving out the house on a rainy day and my boots still look new without a spot on them.I also stay my ottoman and chairs not a spot in sightI love this product

Works well and is definitely waterproof. Not sure how long it will last, but covered pants, shoes and two pair of gloves with about half left in the larger bottle. Smells bad and should be done outside. When dry, there is no smell. Very flammable if the material is not fully dry.
