I ordered this for a senior friend that had one of those cushions that has leather/vinyl? on the outside and attaches to the seat with velcro straps, it was always dirty and smelled you couldn't really clean it very well. THIS RISER WORKS very well; is EASY TO CLEAN (doesn't soak up anything in the first place) lifts the seat up JUST HIGH ENOUGH. And no smell. She's a much happier camper. She already had a bar on the wall, and basin on other side, so no handles needed, perfect. Was very EASY TO INSTALL. I told her if the regular seat is too hard, I can get other options also easy to clean, but she seems happy for now.

We used this to raise the toilet seat when my mom had hip surgery. It is sturdy and the regular seat can fit right on top. So it's less hospital like.

fits good with an elongated seat (most of the ones you get at the drugstore are round shaped.

Fits correctly and is solid. Exactly what we needed for a convalescent patient. My only ding is trivial: I found it difficult to screw on the bottom wingnuts without being able to see them -- but that is my fault, not the fault of the product.

I bought this in preparation for hip-replacement surgery. Hated to spend more on the huge ones with handles and a very narrow opening. This works well because it allows the toilet seat to be installed on top and closed. I just used the walker for assistance. Only needed this for a week before I could again use a regular height toilet. Economical, simple, basic.

I bought this for my wife who has knee issues, She said this makes a big difference now that the seat is at chair height . Easy to install ,I ordered a 2nd one for our other bathroom.

bought it for my mom that has a bit of trouble getting up and down from a sitting position, this lifted her just enough so she didn't have to keep using her arms to push off. It installed easy and is staying in place very nicely so far!

This riser is everything. I no longer have to struggle to sit on the toilet because it was so low to the floor. If you have weak knees like I do this is the cheapest way to go. I also bought a new toliet seat to go with it. Both were very easy to install very sturdy. I give it 5 stars.
