I usually sit on the line between Med and LG but I ordered an XL for this helmet. It fits perfectly and is even a touch tight. The padding doesn't break in much either, so I'm glad I sized up.Like other DOT half-helmets, it does the mushroom head thing, but no more than others. Finish on the exterior is high quality, the lining is comfortable, and the adjustability of the strap is nice. I prefer D-ring cinches for the strap but the ratchet mechanism is easy to use.
