I bought this for my 5-year old son to wear when we take walks in the dark since it gets dark so early in the winter and sometimes he runs ahead of us so I wanted to make sure any oncoming vehicles (on our quiet neighborhood street with little traffic) could easily see him. But when he wore it last night I could only see the yellow part of the vest. While it helped to wear a bright yellow vest over his dark coat, the gray strips on the vest weren't reflective at all so this is a disappointment. The vest does fit him especially over his coat but doesn't quite seem to achieve the desired purpose.
