Causes: Philanthropy, Public Foundations

Mission: The Cristian Rivera Foundation is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization, which works tirelessly to create awareness, and to raise funds to support families affected by Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), the Cristian Rivera Foundation also allocates funds towards the research and clinical trials conducted by Dr. Mark Souweidane of Weill Cornell Medical Center and Dr. Oren Becher of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital at Northwestern University.

Results: We currently have a patient who is participating in the trails that we have funded, who has been living with DIPG for over 5 years. There is no growth in her tumor size and she's leading a relatively normal life. Our funding has allowed Dr. Souweidane & Dr. Becher to make innovative advancements in treating DIPG; advancement that has been recognized by the global medical community.
