Purchased to chase bats that were hanging on attic vent. Worked well without harming bats. Ran on timer to come on before daybreak and run about 2 hours. Bats gone!

This so not super bright. It lights up a 10 cone at a 10 distance. I bought to add a lightning effect to house at Halloween but, it isnt bright enough to do that. Also, it is very light weight plastic so it tips over and needs to be secured with a screw. Might be good for small indoor displays.

The flashing lights keep the bats from roosting on my back deck. I've tried many things to deter the bats over the last 10 years, with no luck. This light really works! The bats hate it!

Ordered this to use in a haunted house setting. First impressions are two-fold; This thing is very light, and the cord could definitely be longer. Granted, the unit is an LED Strobe, but it's complete plastic construction other than the lightweight metal mounting bracket. This certainly helps keep it to a budget price point, but I do worry about longevity especially if someone is going to move this around very often or from place to place. The cord is a 4' long cord with a master on/off switch in the middle of it. Wish it had another foot or two, but nothing an extension cord won't solve.Overall though, it appears bright enough for what I'm using it for. Aside from construction which, again to be fair, could be a major plus in weight savings for some applications, the only other tiny nit pick I can give is that there can be a slight half-second delay from when power is switched on with the main on/off, and the strobe going off. It's likely not going to be a deal breaker for almost every use case, but in my case I'm triggering power with a motion sensor, so it was something that I did pick up on. It's not EVERY time, so it's probably something to do with the cycling of flashes and when the power cut occurs in that cycle. Again, this is NOT a deal breaker for 99.9 of the people out there, and given the excitement of Halloween, I don't expect it to be an issue either. But it IS something I noticed, and wanted to just mention it.All in all, not a bad little setup for the price

We have a serious packrat issue here. This strobe is super bright, you can't look at it in the dark, and neither can the packrats. Been using it every night for 2 years, and they haven't failed. They're not very weatherproof, but they stay dry in our car engine compartment.
