The product seem to be strong but on the side swivels to latch was hard to get the screws and two recalls The part that moves would not open up to expose the screw hose very well. Also when closed it was not tight but our Jerry rigged it to make it work.

Requires a bit of hole adjustment on my 1993 F-150 sliding rear window, regardless a much better product than the plastic oem latch. Well worth the money. 10 minutes to install.

Just picked up a 93 F150 and one of the issues it had was a missing rear sliding glass latch. Through a google search I found this metal latch posted on an f150 forum. I would rather have a metal piece then a plastic one. This metal latch fit without any modification to it. Others have mentioned they have had to extend the hole to get it to work, I did not have to on my 93 F150.

Perfect fit for my Ford 81 f150. Got tired of replacing plastic latch.

Works great, metal always better than plastic. This is the highlight of this product.Since it is metal its a lot thinner than the plastic lathc, so you won't be able to adjust the screws all the way in. Other than that, works as expected.

First off this thing is pretty solid and worth the 5 minutes needed to make it fit. Installed on my 1997 Dodge Ram 1500Just drill out the holes to 5/32 and use a 5/32 chainsaw file to slot the holes closer together. May not have to drill the holes out if you have a smaller round file. Screws that are included worked just fine.

I installed this on my 84 Jeep Scrambler. Even though the holes just happened to match, removing my old latch required cutting and grinding the steel rivets flush to the window frame and redrilling the holes. I used a 3/32 drill bit being careful not to drill thru the window frame. The included screws tapped into the 3/32” holes but make sure you have an excellent small Phillips screwdriver as it requires a little patience and perseverance to get the screws snugged up but the screws worked for me. This is the only metal latch I found. It is well made and designed. You may have to drill new holes but if you take your time and measure this out it's better than any plastic latch out there.

Got this to replace the broken latch on the rear sliding window of a 1997 Ram 1500 I bought recently. The OEM plastic replacement I bought first broke the moment I tried to lock it. The worked perfectly with only minor modification. The holes are just ever so slightly out of line with the original. I simply used the new screws, put the top ones in the existing holes and then angled the bottom ones to go into the existing bottom holes. They screwed in, by hand, slightly opening the hole in 1 direction and tightened down. Latch fits tightly with no slack and is secure.
