This was by far one of the best gifts we have ever given to anyone! The recipient loved the Board and is using it and talking about it often. He keeps it on display in their home and it has even sparked his Wife's interest in playing together. There was an issue with one of the pawns and we reached out to the seller and they sent a new one right away, we had the replacement two days after we inquired about it. Outstanding!!!

Beautiful set

First off, this is a HUGE board. If you're planning on displaying it, make sure your end table or wherever you're thinking of putting it, will have room.The style of the board is very classy looking, and the base feels like decent quality. The topnot as much. The top (playing area) definitely isn't wood, more of what appears to be a laminate. It's not a deal breaker, but I'm not expecting it to last forever. The inside storage is plentiful, once you get rid of the cheap, Halloween mask-like plastic that's inside. I plan on putting in some balsa wood dividers. The pieces themselves have good weight to them, and are large. Some of the felt bottoms were peeling off, but nothing a little glue didn't fix. Again, not really a deal breaker because I had other pieces to use on this board.Overall, I'd say it's borderline being overpriced, based on quality of the materials, but if you're looking for a large storage board, this is a great option.

I am a very amateur chess player. Playing because of the covid quarantine and my wife watched the movie on Netflix about the girl that is a natural chess player. This chess set exceeded our expectations. Looks nice and well made. Had to order a timer because she liked the ones in the movie. Takes us days to play one game.
