Great gift for my husband who flies RC Airplanes. He absolutely loved this item. Very accurate and light weight as well.

It has no strap and no way to easily attach one! Wouldn't that be a no brainer? It seems to be working so far but the security provided by a harness would be very helpful on a hot sweaty day.

I read many of the reviews and didn't know what to expect at first. After using it according to the directions (yes, you still have to read them after all these years), I found that this product is good for Little League and Pony League baseball (46 to 52 feet), but you have to be close enough to the pitcher for it to work well (within 75 feet), and be directly in line with the pitch to limit the angle and get a more accurate reading. I tested this instrument with a pitching machine of known velocities from 46 feet, and found it to be pretty accurate. However, if you're planning on using it to measure velocities on a regulation diamond, get a more expensive and more sensitive gun.Mad DogHampden, MA

I bought this to go along with my RC hobby. It displays the actual speed while pulling the trigger and the top speed when released. The closer to straight on to the moving object you are the more accurate the reading. It displays standard or metric and easy to switch between mph and kph.I first tested it out on some full size cars and it works good.I think for the price this is an excellent "Doppler speed gun" (it uses Doppler radar to measure the speed of objects ).

I am very happy with this product. It was a great price and performed flawlessly the first time we used it. It is being used for the Square One Educational Networks Mini Innovative Vehicle Design program. For checking speeds of the project vehicles and for the Mini IVD Top Speed Challenge. All of the events were held at Michigan International Speedway. The gun is extremely easy to use, easy to read the results and had no trouble picking up any of the 1/8th scale Radio Controlled vehicles we use for the competition.

Received the Bushnell Velocity Speed gun, put in the battery and the unit turned on, but did not pick up a car heading straight on speed nor any speed at all. Also, There is no manual instruction. I am in the process of returning the product, does anyone know what is their refund/process policy/reputation lately?

Its probably too early for much of a review. It seems to work fine but we have nothing to compare it to. My daughters pitching coach thinks its giving readings that are a couple MPH slow but we haven't put it against another gun. Even if it is off a little I think it will help my daughter and the other girls on her team knowing about how fast they are pitching and being able to see when they have made improvements.

Works great on baseballs & softballs. I used the digital speedometer in my car as a test of the gun's accuracy. The gun and my car always agreed to within 1 MPH. The case appears to be very durable - the front end of the gun is rubber armored. I am perfectly satisfied.Be sure to read the instructions to avoid erroneous readings.

Recently i purchased a Bushnell Velocity Speed Gun to test out it's accuracy. I have been in law enforcement since 1985 & i am certified in the use of radar.I read several reviews from customers on how they were dissatisfied beacause their radar gun did not work properly for one reason or another. My partners patrol car has a MPH radar & i decided to see just how accurate a Bushnell hand radar compared with it.I have 2 different speed tuning forks to test my MPH with & tested both of them on the Bushnell as well. The Bushnell tested accurate & gave the correct reading on both tuning forks i tested with.i then took it on the road & compared it against my partners MPH radar system against oncoming traffic & it worked as well matching vehicle speed with my MPH as well.Although i used it on traffic,it should work on any moving object such as baseball, softball, tennis balls etc.Just remember that these objects are of course much smaller than a vehicle & you must be in direct line of sight to the object to get a true & accurate reading of speed.I would reccomend this particular unit to anyone interested in purchasing one.
