These are fine bowls for a small dog or cat. I deducted a star because the rubber ring is a pain in the next to get on and off but you have to regularly clean under it or it gets funky. Still they are good bowls and the stainless steel cleans up beautifully.

I got this bowl in the 8 oz terrier size for my 16 pound miniature pinscher. A dog any larger you would need to size up. I find this bowl is too light weight. I got it so she couldn't knock it around, she still scoots it all over even though it has the rubber ring around the bottom. But she isn't knocking it over anymore so I guess it still does the trick even though it's so light. At first I didn't like that the rubber ring comes off so easily, but actually its a good thing for throwing it in the dishwasher. I can put the ring back on after the wash and not worry about making the ring brittle from the dishwasher. I was not paid for this review, I paid full price for this product, I am just sharing my experience hoping it helps others.

I intended to weight this bowl to deal with Dane that enjoyed carrying her full bowl around the house scattering bounty for the mice.However, the shape of the bowl alone was enough to stop that habit. Try one of these before shelling out a lot of money for a weighted bowl.

I purchased these for my two yorkies, one of which is very timid and picky. Her tags on her collar often catch on food dishes, which scares her and prevents her from eating well. I bought these bowls because they have rounded sides and don't have a ridge around the edge for her tags to catch on and it works like a champ! She doesn't freak out because her tag caught on edge and eats her dinners!
