I used this to hone cast iron drains to fit blackflow preventers. It worked excellent for the purpose and is still filled with life.

This is a quality product I used it as soon as I got it. I did a cylinder home job on a Yanmar diesel engine and it worked out perfectly. That would recommend these homes to anyone. Very well made, reasonably priced.

I have to say I love these hones, I had to do an emergency ring replacement on a race engine before an event and there was no way to get the block to the machine shop. I ordered this hone and man it worked great. The finish it left was perfect. I checked cylinder leakage after install but before running and every cylinder was below 10 I had to fire the engine up throw the car in the trailer and make a 1000mile drive to the track. We'll the car ran perfect used no oil needles to say I'm very happy with this hone. Will buy more of these for tricky situations!!!

Works awesome, followed directions on the box and was very easy to use. lowest speed on the dewalt fast in and out motion with a quicker pace for the last 3 seconds or so got that nice 45 deg cross hatch pattern. One ball was missing from its wire so I cut that wire off as to avoid any scoring of my cylinder walls.

Technique for a ball hone is easily found online but it would have been reassuring to have the instructions directly from manufacturer.It worked as I expected and should last a long time.

I was worried about the size as the 3.78 inch bore of the 5.3 is on the edge of the range listed for this product. It did a great job and I was very happy with the results. I used motor oil as lubricant and did about 10 in out passes. Make sure to go slow on rpm and fast on the in out to try to get the 45 degree cross hatch.

Did a good job on a Kawasaki lawn mower engine that had issues from water in the cylinder. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

USED THIS FOR AN LS2 AND AN LS3. WORKED GREAT FOR BOTH. Some learning curve, but definitely adjust the crank as you go or you could slightly scuff it like I did. Not enough to cause a major issue, but did need to use 2000 grit sandpaper and wd40 to wet sand. that's user error. not the product.
