I was hoping this would heat my pool enough so I could swim in June and it has. I'm so glad I bought this rather than spend thousands on a heater. Instead of the water being in the high 70s/low 80s, it gets to the high 80s and in hot weather, low 90s. Would buy again.

This my review after use for one year: I bought my house 4 years ago and have needed to replace my cover every year. Even though I would wait one hour after adding chlorine, the other covers would disintegrate fairly quickly. This new cover is thicker than any other I have used and I prefer the clear over black or blue. Not sure if I am imaging this but I think it retains the heat better too -- which means my heater is not running as often. One year later, this cover is almost as good as new and I can tell it's going to last a few more years. When I do need to replace it, I am definitely buying this one again.

Because of its weight, it's a little harder to reel in and it takes up a little more room on the reel. Someone asked when will they make a pool cover that lasts. I dont expect that this one will last for more than two years. None of them will until they put enough uv protection in them. I use above ground tubing for sap collection which gets 6 months of sun every year and its warranted for 10 years. I have some that has been in for that long and it's still going strong. It can be done.

Exactly as advertised. We live in Hawaii and our pool went from 82 to 98 and I had to roll it back because it was too hot. The clear versus the blue makes a huge difference. Solid product, happy with this purchase.

The thickness of this pool cover is only 4 mm, not 14 mm! Very disappointing!

Don't like that it doesn't go on well on the roller.I thought it was going to be a little heavier I got 14 mil for that reason

I was skeptical but this solar cover worked for us. Our water started at 61 degrees and over a couple days it increased to 78. We used it to maintain the water temp during the 40/50 degree nights and the water warmed up to 82 within the week of sunshine. We have an irregular shaped, fiberglass pool so I trimmed it around the edges to fit. It is incredibly big and bulky so I might end up doing what another reviewer mentioned and cut it into sections. It was easy to put on and I can even take it off myself but storing and moving it was a challenge even for 2 of us. I was considering one of the wheels for it, but I don't know where I would store it for the off-season. We are hoping the cover will also extend our season like it did for the opening. Definitely worked for us in both heating from the sun and maintaining the warmth during the initial chilly evenings. Well worth it!

Product was easy to cut for pool size. We were afraid it was going to be a waste of money after not noticing a big difference after a week. But then it slowly moved from 72 up to 80 degrees. And then hit almost 90 and stayed around there! We didn't put it back on for one night and it dropped to 80. It also helps keep all the small pollen from entering in pool. So far it holds up well and shows no signs of breaking down.

We find this cover of good quality. We did add our own handles to sides of cover and makes it even easier.

We live in Arizona and wanted to extend our swim season. This solar blanket heated up our pool about 10 degrees. We leave it on the pool all week and then take it off on the weekends to swim. The pool stays nice and warm and the blanket keeps the leaves and junk out. Since we have only had it about a little over a month I cannot attest to the sturdiness but so far so good. Even if it only lasts two summers it is worth the price. We got the clear one, not sure if color makes a difference.

Not that good at all. Last a season and the clear color was super hard to clean. Never getting a clear cover again!

We love the clear cover. It warms the pool nicely. Here we are in November, of course Arizona, but we are still able to swim. Last year we ended the season in October.

Arrived in a good sized package. Easy to unfold and put on the pool. Initial wrinkles went away fast, after using 1 while season I am very pleased. It seems to have held quite good. Only negative is the sticker on the cover that leaves residue.

good luck with warranty issues they do not answer the phone and or emails and if they prorate the solar cover it will cost you more then you initially spend customer service sucks

For the past 3 years I have purchased the Intex 12' round solar covers. They worked, took 4-5 days to warm the pool anywhere from 10-12 degrees. By the end of the summer, here in CA, they were crumbling, tearing and disintegrating. By summers end I had to throw them away.WOW!!! This summer I bought The Blue Wave 14 mil cover and it is so much better than Intex. I switched because Intex jacked up their price this year, almost triple! So glad they did. I am happier with Blue Wave. Blue wave was about $20 more than what I USE to spend on five 12' round disks. Now intex's products cost WAY more and it's not worth it.Blue wave heats up my pool by 15 degrees in less than 2 days and does a better job of keeping the heat in. I have one giant cover now but it's not anymore time consuming to take it off and put it on. I am SO HAPPY WITH BLUE WAVE...The last thing that puts blue wave light years ahead of Intex is that this cover is thicker, more durable and will probably last me a few years... overall I am getting a better product that is way cheaper than Intex.

Works like a charm. We always have a solar cover for our pool. If we put it on when the weather starts to warm up (Northern California) we can often swim by the end of April. You can control the temp of your pool just by whether you put it on or not. Leave it on every day and night while you want it to warm up, and leave it off when it starts to get too warm. They also prevent evaporation (we can lose an inch a week sometimes). They tend to last around 3-4 summers, depending on how well we treat them.
