The major advantage is the position of the center pin\'s 360 degree basket which is aligned to the back end of the compression ring. This makes it very easy to insert the center conductor. The connector utilizes a standard quarter/quarter prep. While designing the connector, a pin carrier and compression ring were added which are not normally seen in a conventional pin type connector.Full advantage was taken of the frequency matching and time domain studies completed on the FS11V connector in order to achieve a pin type connector with excellent return loss. Air is an excellent dielectric so the connector was hollowed out in the area behind the nut adjacent to the pin carrier, as well as the area in the post below the contact area.Features:High performance sealed F-connectorExceeds SCTE and Telcordia specificationsConical, 360 Degree compression sleeve provides a superior environmental sealConnectors provides superior pullout strengthSpecifications:Quantity: 25Cable Type: Standard or Quad-Shield RG-11 (underground / burial applications)Physical Specifications:Nut and Collar: NiTin Plated BrassPost: Tin Plated BrassO-Rings: Ethylene PropyleneElectrical Specifications:Return Loss: ≥-30dB up to 1 GHz typicalInsertion Loss: ≤-0.2dB up to 1 GHz typicalRFI Shielding: -85 dB typical (60% bonded foil)Mechanical Specifications:Cable Insertion Force: 20 lbs maximumCable Retention Force: 40 lbs minimum per SCTE IPS SP-401Environmental Specifications:Temperature Rating: -40°F (-40°C) to 140°F (60°C)Salt Fog: Passes 1000 hours ANSI/SCTE 143 2007Moiture Migration: Pass ANSI/SCTE 60 2010The Belden Name now encompasses the PPC, ICM Corp, Cable Pro, and Thomas & Betts names. 7802719 845671005035 1.4300lbs 0.00 0.00 0.00

I fixed a cut coax cable that was buried in a flower bed. The difficult part was stripping the cable to get the connector to fit.

If you do not have your crimper adjusted properly for these connectors, they will split when the crimper is fully closed. You have to sacrifice about three of them to get your crimper adjusted and then they work fine.

Temporarily fixed the cable line that snapped after a tree fell on the power lines during hurricane Sally. It's been over a month since the storm, and we have been struggling with working from home and virtual school trying to use a cellular hotspot. These were perfect for splicing an F connector cable between the broken RG11 sections.

I purchased these, along with a Yangoutool RG59 RG6 RG11 Cable F-Connector Compression Tool and Jonard Tools UST-525 Universal Cable Stripping Tool to terminate RG11. Everything worked great, and the connection is excellent. Save me a ton of money versus hiring an electrician or AV guy to do it.
