2nd pair of Bates. The first was a high shine. Both fit perfectly. This one being high gloss concerns me about cracking but I'll have to wait and see.

BEWARE !!! I'm not saying the shoes I got were fake however they definitely were NOT the shoes I ordered 2 years ago. Creased immediately trying them on in the house. I used the buy again option in my order history. I will try to purchase again in hopes of the shoe I remember, hopefully bates didn't downgrade their product.

I work as a security guard and have to walk between 3-10 miles around a hospital. They are built very well but the soles are horrible, you won't need to change them out if u don't have a long walk or have to stand for awhile.

This the 3rd pair of Bates that I have bought. All didn't fit but I keep trying probably because I don't relish going to the trouble of sending them back. I went up to large width and that solved the ball of my foot being squashed. Now both my heels are being cut into and I now have a blister on each heel. who are these people that have feet that fit comfortably into Bates shoes?

The size and fit are as expected. I’m hoping that the shoe strings holds up. I have had issues with the strings and wear of the soles.

Bates are the best, I’ve worn them for several years as an officer. I do a lot of standing and walking, they are very light and comfortable.! PS: wear quality socks and the heat issue goes away.<br />ERW
