Customer Review:Bates E02276 Men's GX-8 Desert Composite Toe Side Zip Boot, Price/pair

I use these particular boots for riding motorcycles, due to the protection they afford in the toe, and ease of getting them on and off. Ive used Bates boots for close to 40 years now, between when I was on active duty, and now motorcycling, and daily wear. Some days I wear them from 6 to 6. Theyre comfortable when they break in (a couple days) and I usually get 2-3 years of use out of them. The weak point on these are the zipper, which is usually the reason for a new pair, but as long as you dont abuse them, youll get your moneys worth out of them. Ive trusted Bates for a long time, and havent found anything that works as well.

Very solid and durable if you don't wear long socks though it is a little uncomfortable after a long day of work other than that very good work boots and can take a beating

this was a gift to a person close to me. so far he has said awesome things about the boot.it gives support for a past ankle break, it's meets or exceeds safety standards at the plant

No loop in the back to help pull on, pretty stiff but hoping they will break in nicely. Pinch point at upper foot crease and toe area. Might be ok after break in.

My boots live on a farm. I do everything in them and need something that really lives up to punishment. My biggest two gripes with these boots is how quickly the arch and ankle support collapses and the zipper. The arch support can be fixed with insoles (10 second to relief) and the zipper can be helped with a quick crimp with some pliers and zipper wax (lube). Other than that they are awesome!

This boot is amazing. It's my second pair and I won't wear any other boot. It's super lightweight, comfortable and easily slides on and off. The zipper makes it the perfect boot for any activity.

I love these boots and use them everyday for work and with the stock sole it has, I even noticed that they're ASTM certified so they're technically OSHA approved.
