Its good, solid, simple, does the job, but not elite - the instructions are horribly translated and you can tell its made in china. Does the trick though, lock wise and unlocking. But just some of the parts look generic home depot.

I bought it for a new price hopefully it isn't used

I have two of these same exact ones and they both act the same way lots of times on the first finger print it does not open and then I have to lift it and try again often it comes open on the second try. Sometimes even after 10 tries, it doesn't come open. But when I come back later, it does. Maybe it has to do with something about the level of oil or water on my finger.

The fingerprint reader is very unpredictable. I have two new (less than 3 mos old) safes and both fingerprint readers are essentially useless. By this I mean when I attempt to use the reader to open the safe, maybe it will work once out of 15-20 tries. Really nice when you need quick access to the contents. The combination works fine and the construction is very good. For this reason I rate the safe as a good buy. But please. do not purchase it for the fingerprint reader. If my two safes are any indication of what you will get, you will be writing a similar critique.

Safe works well. I like the option to use fingerprint or digital combination. Holds two handguns.

First safe i purchased seemed to be 'used' and electronics were a bit sketchy. Sent back. Received new one today and works as it should. Happy with my purchase.CONS:light very dim, useless when half asleep or just waking up. Also; why soft blue light? So I don't disturb my wife?Battery compartment hard to open (both lid and housing), and hard to close.Pistol safe should be narrow/tall instead wide/short because it's easier/safer to grab gun when barrel is pointing away from you, not to the left or right. My 9mm will only fit with barrel facing left or right.(just my humble opinion since this is my first pistol safe)PROS:well built, sturdy, good size for my G19-size 9mm and 380 compact, soft neoprene-type padding.fingerprint scanner works well, and fast.30 group fingerprint memory capacity! I like to create multiple memories for a single finger (angle/roll/position) so I have a much better chance of opening it half asleep or unable to see well. This was very important to me.easy to create memory groups.

Worked great for almost a year then went dead. Customer service was excellent and they sent a replacement unit. Awesafe made it right in my book so no complaints here!

The good: This safe has 3 methods of access (key, number pad, fingerprint). All three work just fine. Make sure you store the key away in a safe place. Both the number code and fingerprint is easily programmed if you follow the included instructions. The space inside the safe is adequate for one, or if you want to squeeze, two medium to small sized sidearms. The fit and finish is adequate to exceeding quality for a safe in this price range.The bad: One of the two fingerprints that I programmed originally has failed a few times since being programmed. I am docking it a star until I reprogram that fingerprint, but will revisit that once it's been tested for a few months with newly programmed fingerprints.

The case is sturdy with ample space for a pistol and ammo. It has a great set of keys - the good kind, not the cheap keys!I gave it 4 stars because the instructions are vague and this frustrated me.Once I figured it out then I was happy about my purchase.This company may want to make a quick video on how to setup password and fingerprint or have better instructions.

The safe is perfect for two compact pistols or one compact with spare mags as I am using it for. It can also fit full-size pistols but will limit extra room for mags. Easy to setup and use. My only complaint is that the finger print reader can be picky. After setting up for 2 different fingers it will sometimes read them and sometimes not. I think the unit is just picky and the finger has to be on it just right, but it does have the option of a 4 digit code as a back up and comes with keys incase of a dead battery.

It simply works, interior LED light not too bright. Great way to keep things locked up and kid safe. Fingerprint reader sometimes a bit slow.

Design is good, however any press of any body part will unlock the finger print. Do not use around kids.

Very hard to put in user pass word. Finger print reader does not always work the first time. I must try two or three times. Over all I am very happy with the gun safe. I would buy again if I needed another.

The safe is very well made and has room for up to 2 good size pistols. The issue I had with it was that the batteries didn’t last longer than a month, regardless of the type or brand of battery I used, which was mostly Duracell. We emailed customer service and immediately received a response back from Jack who suggested a couple of fixes that didn’t work. With no hesitation, he sent me another safe which, after a month and a half, has worked fine.I have to commend them on their customer service, which to me, is just as important as the quality of the product.

Had to try to set fingerprint probably 10 times before it worked, once I got that working I went to mounting the safe. I can't tighten one of the screws all of the way or else the lid won't pop open when trying to unlock. One side of the cover is raised beyond the top of the safe making it much easier to break into if someone were to try.

The fingerprint sensor does not work properly.

This was recommended to me, I do like it, the fingerprint reader is not the easiest to set up. It does work, but I find using a pin number easier. It is sturdy, nice design, Pretty well tamper proof, For the price I do recommend this safe.

This thing was very easy to set up and trains for several users. It has code and key backup, so no big worry if the battery dies. Gun is quickly retrieved and ready for action even in a panic. It isn't very sturdy though, so don't expect it to prevent theft by a determined thief.
