The pads of the padded shorts is slimmed and became flat so not padded anymore and not giving any more protection.

Wow! I purchased these being skeptical of the look and reviews. They don't even feel like they're on! They fit to size. They do look a little big but if you are doing anything recreational such as snowboarding , skiiing or skating your body will love you!

I got this for snowboarding. I'm new to the sport and in my 40's. I went the first time before buying these shorts and bruised my tailbone pretty bad. These shorts are a lifesaver! I now use them every time I go out.A couple of things though:1. I should have gotten the large vs XL. I'm a 36 waist and the size chart recommended the XL. The larges would likely have been a bit more snug and not slide down as much2. They do trap heat, so be prepared to sweat a bit

These are pretty bulky, but you are able to pull out the different sections of foam through the cut-out in each section. I just wanted the tailbone protection so I pulled out all the hip padding so these would fit under my snow pants. Honestly, these shorts made my day on the mountain way less painful, I have a previous tailbone injury and this helped in the icy conditions. You'll still feel the fall but the impact isn't as harsh.

As a novice snowboarder on the east coast, I finally got myself these shorts after years of falling on my tush. A recent day at Mount Snow convinced me to get these after taking a really bad fall that bruised my hip and gave me a scare. I've already given it a test on a smaller, more local slope and it seems to help pad A LOT

Seems like a very sturdy product, but upon opening and trying on, you might want to size down on these guys, I bought a medium (30” waist) Pads are a products I love to have but also like to forget I'm wearing. When I bought according to the size chart, I realized the pads are so big it makes you feel like you're a hockey goalie. Might try exchanging for smalls, but I will most likely spend a touch more to get MORE or WHAT I was looking for

Bought these for added protection to play ice hockey as I don't have a lot of natural padding on my rear. Very effective. I wear them over a compression short so I have not had to remove pads to wash it. Only air drying after games and practice with no stink. These have become an important piece of equipment for me.

Put these on right before I went skating this morning. Fell down on my ass, but didn't bust my ass! Afterwards, I knew I HAD fallen, but didn't feel it. I'm a big girl too. Get these if you're afraid of breaking/bruising your coccyx! You won't regret it.

I got this for a friend. He said it still hurt a little for a 160 lbs body when dropping straight down with it. But it would hurt a lot more without it.

Lo empec a utilizar para aprender a patinar y la verdad amortigua muy bien las cadas, sobretodo en la zona de la cadera y espalda...tambin es fcil de lavar, lo recomiendo.

Pads are placed well for snowboarding. Excellent tailbone protection. Good padding, while not too much. I'm very picky about the quality of gear I use on the mountain. Stoked on these shorts. I wear a size 36 waist and ordered the xl. Fits well.

I used these out in Breckenridge and they worked like a charm. Took some falls and they helped so much to absorb the unpack while snowboarding.
