After a trip to the hardware store for some quarter size washers it fit just fine. It was purchased for my 90 year old mother. She said she likes it a lot. Makes it easier for her to sit down or stand.

These Maddack toilet risers have been just such great addition to myself for 4 major type surgeries in 4 years! They made it so I could go to the restroom by myself and get up and down off the toilet. I had both hips replaced, and spine surgery, and breast cancer surgery. To add to the mix I got C-diff too. We had a grab bar put in next to the toilet too. Now my husband found out how great they helped him with his hernia's surgery. We have had them for years, but I bought some to replace these, as after years the cleaning products has a slight ability to dingy the white. But I used clorex daily during c-diff. They are so helpful we will always use them. I am a tall and chubby gal, and never a problem or wiggle to them.

I AM 6 FOOT 6 WEIGH 250 LBS AND THIS STURDY UNIT WORKS GREAT...WILL FIT MOST ANY TOILET IF YOU GET THE SHAPE RIGHT...THERE ARE 2 OPTIONS..THESE MODERN TOILETS MADE FOR TODDLERS ARE REDICULOUS FOR TALL PEOPLE

Preparing for my TKRbending knee is difficult. This riser is perfect! Ordered one for my 79 year old mommaafter she saw minehad to have one too. Super easy to install. I installed it myself.

My wife and my own knees were not doing well with our 3 normal toilets---they were simply too low. After trying a different toilet lift that had side rails that was awkward for male users, I found this, somewhat more stylish, solution. Using the included hardware, the whole installation process takes only about 15 minutes and requires only a couple of screwdrivers. We are very pleased with the result functionally and cosmetically.

This actually fits an elongated bowl. It's the most sturdy elevated seat I've ever used. That said, nothing with bolts as long as they are could possibly be a perfectly stable seat, but it's not wobbly like the universal seats, not dangerous at all. You need to tell men to NOT aim for the back splash because it doesn't have a good drip-edge. Urine can collect under the drip-edge. Yuck. Aim for the bowl. I definitely give this five stars. I'll buy again when this one gets old - it's hard plastic, so won't last forever.

Previous seat riser became unstable and the pads that helped it not slide around peeled off in a short time. Part of the problem was the riser was fixed and putrid liquid accumulated between it and the porcelain toilet rim. It lasted only a few months before the seat was dangerously mobile. The Maddock hinged toilet seat is stable and the ability to clean under it makes a huge difference. Much more sanitary and much less smelly!! The white plastic does discolor to a pinkish color if not cleaned regularly and it is impossible to get rid of the pink once it appears but, it is not malodorous as long as it is cleaned regularly. Very happy with this purchase!

Looks much better than the typical riser and eliminates the potential for tipping since it connects to your toilet. Only 2 issues so far after a month 1) it actually dented in a bit from one of the toilet seat spacers. No cracking but there is a definitive dent. 2) It has oblong holes for the bolt/fastener to go through. Makes installation easier but it allows it to shift. They need to provide something like a spacer to fill in the extra space. One thing to note is that the toilet seat to accompany this needs to be the old fashion type with holes for the bolt to go through. Newer models with the quick release knobs will not work. I'm very happy with this so far and would recommend.

73 yr old hubby fell and broke his femur. He is having to use a walker, and it is difficult for him to deal with utilizing/bending that leg. So, he was pleased when I ordered this and was able to install it even with my arthritic hands. Absolutely no problem as yet and I'm not expecting any either.

We used this elevated seat for our main bathroom. Great for older people who may have a harder time getting up from regular height toilet

Works well, but the material it is made of stains easily. Also, urine gets between it and the toilet bowl because there is no lip. Leads to staining and odors.
