Product Description
The ultra-quiet fan system is designed to cool home theaters, entertainment centers, and audio video cabinets. Included fans use a custom motor engineered to minimize noise during speed variations and are certified by CE and RoHS. Contains AC Infinity axial fans ACX-FD1225(B)05W5 which meet UL-507 standards for safety under Underwriters Laboratories certificate E503903. Containing dual ball bearings rated at 67,000 hours, the unit can be mounted in any direction. Features a CNC machined aluminum frame with a modern brushed black finish. Fans are set to exhaust air out the frame but this can be reversed to intake air using a screw driver. Includes all necessary hardware to easily mount the unit onto a cabinet and power it through a standard wall outlet.
Thermal Controller
The controller features an on-board processor with active temperature monitoring as well as intelligent programming that will automatically adjust fan speeds to respond to varying temperatures. Additional features includes an alarm system, display lock or off while programs are running, six fan speeds, three back-light settings, two buffer options, and power failure memory. Features a detachable 6-foot precision thermal probe that is water resistant.
Connecting Additional Units
For cabinets that requires more airflow, additional AIRPLATE S series cabinet fans can be connected to the included thermal controller. Up to six fans can share the same thermal controller or wall outlet power source. AIRPLATE S3/T3 contains one fan, AIRPLATE S7/T7 contains two fans, and AIRPLATE S9/T9 contains three fans.

OK, the thing works as expected, BUT don't expect it to be as quiet as advertised. Nowhere near. The specs read 21 db, in reality it's around 43 db. 21db would be barely audible. 42 db creates a constant background noise. Would probably not buy again.

This exhaust fan is exceptional!I can barely hear it on its highest setting when sitting about 8ft away on my couch.I have the fans installed on the rear of a completely enclosed AV center meanwhile the automatic thermostat controller in mounted up front on top; it was very easy to install with the templates provided.On this configuration, while my PS5 and amplifier are on, it moves enough air to keep the enclosed peak temperature between 79-88 p F (69-70 p ambient) depending on the load they're under.All in all, I'm very pleased with the overall quality and performance of this product.

I've used these for two separate applications. One being a hush box for a home theatre (i.e. projector in a sealed box); and the other for my machine room in my home studio. Both went without a hitch. Fan controller is great, and the probe is pretty accurate too. The fans that come installed in the exhaust manifold, however are pretty noisy for what the product is designed for. Home Studios / Home Theatres require a very low noise floor. I could see swapping the fans out for Noctua NF-F14a fans or something being a good move if these are in the same room as the listeners.

We used this to cool down an electronics cabinet at work. It was up to 86 degrees and after installing this system it has dropped to 72-73 degrees. We have a opening in the toe kick to let air in and then is blows out through the fans. In smart mode it will alert us if the temp gets too warm. The fans are really quiet. Hopefully they will last for a long time as they do have to run constantly to get it down to 72 degrees. You do have to cut holes to mount the items, which is not hard if you have a jig saw. I will probably get another one for a second cabinet that we have.
