**Installation, Safe Use and Maintenance Instructions**

IMPORTANT: To keep children safe from harm, follow these precautions and instructions when installing, using, or maintaining this playground equipment. You can see this PDF(325)or PDF(324). Due to the thermo dynamics and lower heat transfer properties of plastics, plastic slides are preferred over metal slides for play equipment. Although plastic slides may become as hot as metal, they insulate better and don't transfer the heat as quickly. Because of these properties, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends plastic slides and plastic surfaces over bare metal.

Regardless of lower heat transfer properties, plastic play equipment can still become hot enough -- in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight -- to cause burns. Plastic slides are safe, tried and true, but as is the case with all playground equipment, parents and supervisors must monitor the children in their care, make certain that the equipment is appropriate for their age, and always check playground surfaces for excessive heat before allowing children to play.

Installations: Place all sections of the slide upside down on a flat surface. Fit each section together as tight as possible. Center the pieces. Screw #12 x 1 ¼ " screw through the center of each piece which will connect the side together, but allow you to work with the slide to align the pieces.

Put a 2 x 4, or 2 x 6 or 2 x 8 if you are building a longer slide, under the slide side's one side at a time. Screw #12 x 1" screws into the sides where indicated by pilot marks. Make sure parts are aligned before the screws are inserted. Start at one end where the two sections meet together. After screwing in the screw closest to the edges of the sections, put the middle screw in the side. Then add another section, making sure that it is aligned before inserting the screw. Make sure screws are screwed into the wood straight and not crooked. Now put the other 2 x 4 under the other side and repeat the process. When the last section is screwed together, finish screwing the bottom part of the sections together. Mount the slide to your platform using two screws of your choice, making sure the heads are smooth so that they do not harm the children. Place a 16 x 16", or larger, stepping stone flush with the ground for the base of the slide to set on. The brick should be level and square to the slide. This is to keep the slide height stable. If the slide keeps sinking in to the dirt, it will put stress on the screw holes attaching the pieces together. Also, make sure that the slide is not lifted off the ground after attaching to the platform. Lifting will put stress on the mounting screw holes.

Safe Use: This is for children 5-12 year olds only. Not for Adults. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand on or use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged.

Maintenance: Do the following to reduce the chance of serious injuries. Check monthly for cracks, rust, missing rivets, open S-hooks or evidence of vandalism such as cutting, metal showing through the material or bent seats from children standing on them. Tighten and lubricate all metallic moving parts per manufacturer's instructions. Check all protective coverings on nuts, bolts, pipes, edges, corners and all moving parts including swing hangers, swing seats, ropes, cables, chains and shackles. Replace as needed. Make sure there are no exposed footings, anchoring devices, rocks, roots, holes or any other obstacles in or around playground equipment. In high use areas these inspections should be done more frequently. Clean with mild soap and water when you do the monthly maintenance checks.

Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.

Wow, that is amazing my previous review does not show up because it was a bad review. Don't waste your money on this model. Does not assemble easily (I am a carpenter, so I can build and assemble quite a bit). Large gaps between sections, nothing interlocks, and expensive for cheap construction. Buy the super scoop slide instead of this poorly designed model.

Holy cow what a disappointment. The slide does NOT put together easily. Poor design. I am a carpenter by trade, so I have a pretty good idea on how to build and assemble pretty much anything. This thing took me a couple hours to assemble. There are 1/4" minimum gaps between sections (instructions say there will be small gaps). 1/4" doesn't seem like much until your kid's behind hits them. The sections do not interlock, they lay on top of one another (which makes it difficult to attach screws) and not one section matched shapes. I could go on, but I will just say don't waste your money on this model. Pay the extra and get the solid super scoop slide. Tough to pay $400 (14') for a slide that assembles like a $50 Wal-mart slide.
