I used these goggles for my second swim team for maybe two to three weeks and they were great for that time. They had great visibility and the rounded straps did not hurt my head and they rarely fell off when I dove. I also loved the mirror and overall design which gave these goggles a sleek and sophisticated look. Then at the first swim meet of the season, during warm-up the plastic (not rubber) part of the goggle which connects directly to the strap snapped and broke off. I had to use a friends mediocre extra goggles for the whole of that meet. I will not be using TYR goggles again. If you are a competitive swimmer who has to dive a lot, I do not recommend these goggles, however if you swim for fun and do not dive a lot these would be great for the occasional lap swim.

My 12 year old loves these for swim team. Great for blocking the glare of the sun and they don't come off when diving off the blocks. This is her 2nd pair.

I have used multiple brands of goggles including Speedo, TYR, Dolfin, Roka, Aqua Sphere, Zoggs, and even some knockoff Chinese brands. While the Blackhawks look nice and are 34;great for racing34;, I found them to be pretty lacking in the field of vision. The design of the top of the lens blocks forward vision when swimming. The wall surprises you! That's not what you want. I tried them in open water as well and the limited forward field of vision is really annoying because you can't sight buoys well and it's hard to determine how far away you are from someone until you're right up on them. Not worth it.

So painful. It's like taking a knife to your face. The vision out of the goggles is great but the pain from them is bad it's tough to wear.

These are the best quality goggles for the best price. My 6 year old swims on a competitive swim team and loves the googles. The mirrored lenses block the bright Arizona sun and she never has any problems with fit or leaking. Will absolutely purchase again.

Pretty great so far. Have been using these all summer in both chlorine pools as well as open water. Seals are still water tight, just enough tint to manage sun glare but not too dark for the early morning swimming. I have done a couple triathlons with them with no issues. The one thing to keep in mind is if you have a big dome and you have to keep the strap long, it could slide off. I have an inch of slack so usually stays put, and I also found keeping the strap under my swim cap solves the problem.
