Its been a while since I bought this and I would do it again. It is sturdy and holds up well. I have large hips and it fit perfect. Wore it to zumba class and bellydance class and gave it a real workout. Got my money's worth for sure.

The gold in the picture looks a little darker than it actually comes, which is a cheapy-gold BUT it's costume wear, and it's awesome for that. Makes a nice fun jingle and the little cloth that does show is soft and velvet. The ties are nice and easy. Can't wait to wear it to Ren Faire. :D

I would not consider myself to be a big girl. As a matter fact I'm a size 8 and I thought the belt was not wide enough. I guess your fear size 4 or less, it's fine, and it will fit all the way around your hips. But, as a size 8 I still had a 4 inch gap and I was not able to pull the bill together. Besides that it appears to be well-made and sturdy.

This was way better than expected. Pleasantly surprised. They have some weight to them and the jingle could be heard from a distance.

This is a very nice velvet coin belt that I will use often in performance or class. Lots of bling and noise!

Okay! This scarf is as beautiful as it is in the picture! The shimmer and the chime is fab! The feel of the scarf is a soft velvet.. nice touch, but I will say it is not for the bigger ladies size 16 tops! And it is heavy.. I do not recommend for class, but performing would be wonderful. I read in one review that the gold looked cheap. I personally, do not think so, but everyone's opinion is different. The gold is very bright and perfect for mesmerizing with the hips. The metal coins make a lovely sound with easy movement; just walking looks and sounds beautiful! I have had it for over 6 months now (regular use)and nothing has fallen or loosened with this, so I am very pleased! Shimmy away with this one ladies, and some belly dancing gents! I personally love it.. Delivery was in good timing considering distance. Got mine in four days from placing the order.

I loved the material, coins, and the shape pf the scarf. I wish the coins wraped entirely around my waist, but it covers the behind well.

As others have said, the fit is a little small. If I wrapped it around my natural waist, it would cover all around with coins, but obviously hip scarves go on your hips. So, I deal with the few inches of space. The quality more than makes up for it. The fabric is of good quality and sturdy enough to hold all those coins. The amount of coinage is good and hefty and makes you feel really dolled up.

Good coin placement. Makes a sot of jingles when you dance, would have liked it to be a little bit deeper or wider!!

It is exactly as pictured, the only thing is the size, it fits really good but it doesn't cover ALL of my hips, so its kind of like it fits but it doesnt fit ME all. It should be a little larger.

I received this received this wonderful, velour* hip scarf before the expected date and absolutely love it. The many, many coins make a beautiful chiming noise that adds that little extra something in your belly dance, not to mention gives others something to look at and admire as well. I love it so much, I not only wear it to my belly dance classes but just around the house too when I need a pick me up. I love everything about this scarf from the way it moves, to the way I move in it, to it's look to how soft it feels EXCEPT for the fact that it is a smidgen too big. Granted I am in no way curvaceous but I'm not skinny either, I have curves in my size 2-4 waist and 36 inch hips, still when tied as tight as I can make it around the fattest part of my bottom, it still slides down, and if I don't pull it back up, it will fall all the way off. However I have solved this problem by folding the tops of my exercise pants down over the top of the scarf, which so far seems to hold it in place. I would definitely recommend buying this well made scarf; the pictures do not do it justice and it gives much more than it promises. Plus, you can't beat the price!

I love the scarf, it is very good quality and great price, but this scarf is meant to be tied around the HIPS not the waist!! I am a size 10 and this scarf ties well around my hip but leaves a rather big gap so the fit doesn't look like the picture at all. I think you have to be a size 6 to have that fit. That said, it looks awesome and makes good noise as you move :)

The scarf is as described except that the gold coins are really yellow and it makes the skirt look cheap.

i've heard of people buying chiffons and having the coins fall off within a matter of months - however, all i can say is that i love this hip scarf! i'm into detail and the i love the multiple beads that lead to the gold coins. just the mere presence of so many gold coins is stunning.

I just got my scarf today in the mail and I love it. It arrived before the estimated time of arrival. I love it so much. Its beautiful and makes plenty of noise. Its a bit smaller than expected, but is great. Its heavy, but I can't wait to use it in my class this week.
