i bought this particular scarf because of the number of coins it had. i read the reviews and some said it didn't matter what size you were because it fit fine no matter your size, some reviews said. some said not to buy this scarf if you are over a certain size.it was a lovely scarf and well made, not cheap looking. the coins were a nice weight and the skirt had a good sound when i moved. i wear a size 16, waist at 34 inches. the scarf tied around my waist fine, but the coins started at the middle of my stomach. they didn't reach all the way to the ties of the skirt across my waist. if that doesn't matter to you, this scarf is good. however, if you want a scarf with the coins going all across your waist and around the back from tie to tie, and you wear a size 12 pant or greater, invest in a plus size scarf. you will be much happier. if you need to return the skirt, you have to return it to the manufacturer and even with the cheapest shipping, it costs almost as much to return as the scarf itself cost. i donated the scarf to a dance class.

This is hip scarf is tiny! I am a size 12, average proportions. I can barely tie it together, covers half my bum. Its is pretty, and the quality is expected for the price. This would work well for a size 6 or smaller in my opinion.

This was given to me as gift. While it looks very nice, you would have to have tiny hips for it to fit well. The description lists the decorated portion as 31.5 inches long, but mine measured only 25 inches. Wearing it, there is a large gap without any decoration and it looks odd. I will be returning this.

The belt was beautiful when I got it in, but it is way too small. I have another hip belt thats about the same size so I figured this one would fit just fine, but it didn't. If you are a size 6 and under it will fit you but any bigger then that it wont!
