Installed on Goodman unit after the cap died of 12 years of use. This looks exactly like the same as the old one except the fan lead has just 1 terminal instead of two like the old one. Anyways this is not a problem since only one wire - the fan connects to it. Made in Mexico and comes packed in a box. Installed it and it seems to working fine for a day now.

A/C would pull a lot of amps when starting because capacitor wasn't doing it's job. This new capacitor solved this issue.

Just a start capacitor. I needed a new motor start contactor and I picked this up because the capacitor is about the same age as the old contactor. So I'll have it on hand when the capacitor fails. These only have to meet the upper voltage and amperage ranges for the motor and system.

Feel really bad for those who are unable to replace this super simple part. If your fan stops working to cool the compressor kill ur power to ur AC unit and replace the capacitor. Pull the fuse outside or kill the circuit breaker. It takes less then 5 mins to change out. This part cost around $20. If u call a AC repair man, expect to be charged around $500. Me personally, I have a extra one. Have learned the hard way to always have a spare. The orange store or blue hardware store do not sell this size. U will have to order it, so why it's always smart to have a spare. Change it out and then order another one to have as a spare. Unless ur ok with no AC on a hot day for possibly 2 days waiting for it to come in.If u are to scared to try, just watch YouTube to see how simple it really was is to change out
