The picture makes this unit appear almost black in color, when it is indeed a more vivid red cherry wood sort of color. Looks great, but isn't the color I had wanted. Still using it and happy with the purchase regardless. Assembled it by myself in maybe 20 minutes. All you need is a screwdriver, everything else is included.

The material and workmanship of the components is good. Which is worthy of at least one star, because, for the price, the quality is well above average. Assembly is quite easy and is well explained in the set up instructions. Ordinarily, assembly of furniture of this type is a two-person job, in order to assure that it is assembled in square. However, the joining hardware provided with this product makes it virtually impossible to assemble it out of square and one person can put the bookcase together without much trouble. Extra hardware is provided, which is a very good idea when the parts include small screws. The assembled product is attractive and reasonably sturdy. Overall, for the price, this product is an excellent buy.

My only complaint is it's not Espresso. It's not brown at all. It's closer to a mahogany stain in color. Definitely a reddish purple tint. I wanted to use it with black, so I'm going to paint it.

I saw these and thought great they will match my living room dcor! They were very easy to put together and fit very well in my living space. The only thing I didn't like is I bought two, they came at separate times, but one was perfect! The other the backing didn't fit as snug so I was a little disappointed, you cant really tell but it serves it's purpose. I would consider purchasing more if I knew they were going to come out as good as the first one :)

Was easy enough to put together, the backing would concern me if it was not up against a wall only because my 3 year old's books are on it and he is rough with it but otherwise, he's climbed on it a few times and it hasn't wobbled. Nice color, matches other dark wood furniture we already had. Lots of complimentary pieces to match as well.

It wasn't hard to put together. It took about 30 to 40 minutes to put it together. The back panels is what took the longest to do. It stands 30in H and 37in W. Nice product with a nice price.

This is sturdy enough to hold some books and a 32 inch flat screen on top. The finish is excellent and the bookcase went together without any problems. The only thing I didn't like was the small screws they supplied to hold the back panels to the center shelf. They are not long enough for the small size they are to sink into the wood to get a good enough grip.

I'm very happy with this purchase. It is not a high quality piece of furniture, but I knew that. It serves its purpose, came undamaged, was easy to put together, and looks nice.Only four stars because I had to leave it in my garage to off gas for about a week. I'm not even sensitive to this type of thing, but it was really that bad. Fine now though.
