Our old tree lost three arms in two years as various people or forces of gravity knocked it over. I am pleased to report that this tree has a sturdy base and shows no signs of tipping. The little silver hooks are not pretty, but they get covered up fast. The stand functions perfecty for coats. My main complaint is that they are very short and it is hard to hook a brimmed hat on them. The only really good spot for such hats is the ball on top of the tree, but how many hats can you pile on one ball? We use the hooks, but the hats are liable to get jostled off. Still, it is an improvement over the flimsy stand we used to have. The assembly was pretty straightforward but screwing the hooks in tight required pliers for someone who lacks hand strength. All told, it took roughly an hour.

For the price it met our need. Nice finish, plenty of hardware and stable base. Only con we noticed was that the two sections when screwed together do not align perfectly. I think it has to do with the inserted bolt or the inserted nut not being positioned correctly.

Helps to save time on your clothes that you wear everyday or often. Don't have to put them on a hanger in a closet everyday or toss them on a chair or the floor.

We needed a coat tree that could accommodate out coats as well as our toddler's. He's very much into hanging things up by himself, and we wanted to encourage that. This coat tree has a set of three hooks at toddler-height, and the base is quite stable. Our toddler has pushed it around a little, sliding it along the wooden floor, but it hasn't tipped over, even with our winter coats on the (two sets of three) top hooks. It's more stable (and, I think, prettier) than the coat trees with the long arms. The wood and stain were perfectly acceptable and all of our holes lined up. It takes a little elbow grease to assemble, but the process isn't complicated.Bottom line: Need a stable wooden coat tree with low hooks? This is the one for you.

I just moved into a new house and don't have as much closet space for coats. This item is wonderful. It is very sturdy whether you have 1 coat or 6 handing on it. I also hang purses and backpacks on it with no wobbling. The color is a rich cherry wood color. Even the hardware is very nice with stainless steel hooks. The lower hooks are great for the kids coats and backpacks. Great item for anyone who needs additional coat space or the speed of grabbing your coat off a coat tree. You will love this item. Well made and looks great.

It was not too hard to put together. It fits where I placed it. It supports everything that I put on it.

This is a nice, tall, stable clothes tree. We chose not to put the lower hooks on because we didn't think we'd use them. A power screwdriver definitely helps speed things up and saves your hand from getting sore. The only issue we had is that the sleeve for the long bolt that goes up the center post came unseated, so it didn't really add to the stability at all. Don't overtighten it!! Fortunately, the four legs that form the base provide plenty of stability.

I went slightly over my original planned price range to get this item and I am glad I did. I am very pleased with this coat rack. It has a nice weight to it and seems like it would be hard (but certainly not impossible) to tip over. I also like how it looks. One thing to note: most of the screws holes are not pre-drilled, they are only indents to guide you. This item uses real wood screws and you screw them directly into the wood, making the hole as you go. This is a good thing as it creates a very tight, secure, sturdy feel to the end product, but it also means a lot of work if you do not have a powered screwdriver. I did not and I had to take a short break half way through assembly.

Bought a pair. Love 'em. They take a little time to assemble, but they are good-looking, solid, stable, utilitarian and well worth their price.

I bought this particular product because of the great reviews. In the past, I bought clothing trees you need to assemble but took them back to the store because they were junk. This particular item is solid and easy to put together. I bought if for my son for Christmas, I am considering buying myself one too.

I originally chose this model just because of the heavy duty appearance! I am pleased to say that I was right. Buy one assemble it, then place it near your front {or rear} door! Scored great points with my wife by choosing this one!

This coat rack is made of solid wood, has a firm base, and strong hooks. I like the quantity of hooks and that some are low for kids or smaller items. We tend to hang a big load on our coat racks, and this one seems to handle the weight well. Easy to put together and nice looking. And the price was right.

We are very impressed with this coat rack. We needed something sturdy to hold a family-amount of jackets. And we also needed something safe for our toddler, meaning not easy to tip over and no sharp hooks/edges. Not only is this coat rack of good quality, it has plenty of hooks for all our coats, and even low hooks for our son's jackets. It looks great in our living room, and is super sturdy. It was easy to put together. The only flaw I found was that some of the holes were lined up differently, and the base parts are not completely centered compared to the main pole (meaning one side might be flush against the pole and there is space on the opposite side). It is hard to notice, and does not detract from the function/ overall appearance of the coat rack.I would buy this again, and I would recommend it to others.

I have been searching for the perfect coat tree to supplement a heavily used mud room. We live in MN and have lots of wet snow gear enter the home. This coat rack was selected because it has so many hooks (high and low) and looked like it had a sturdy base. After receiving the product I can say I am 100% pleased with the overall look of the coat rack and the sturdiness can't be beat. It is heavy like a coat rack should be. I have not had to load it up with a bunch of wet things yet, but I don't anticipate that wet or heavy items will be any issue for this sturdy workhorse. It took me about 20 minutes to put together -- from opening the box to final placement. I did have a power tool with a hex bit to make assembly faster, but it does come with the little Allen wrench.
