I have struggled with piping bags. Everything turns into a mess. I cant control the soft piping bag. This tool with the lever handle is perfect for me as its easy to control. Ive tried icing , whip cream and its been perfect every time.Highly recommended.

I have no idea why I ever used normal icing bags. This is super easy to clean, and my kitchen stays clean when I am decorating cakes.This entire kit is dishwasher friendly, as well as all other Wilton tips. Comes with a dishwater bag, so you can put all your tips in there... and not loose them!

I've gone through 2 of the Wilton plastic guns. Those are so much easier to use than piping bags. I think the stainless steel one will be as useful and hopefully last longer.

I had an older version of this I have used for years until the plastic plunger broke. Bought this as a replacement and was pleasantly surprised to see the plunger is metal and shouldn't break. Same great product, but with an improvement. Just don't see that every day.

I received this dessert decorator as a gift. It's great! So much easier to use than disposable piping bags and it cleans up easy. I highly recommend this product.

I initially was only going to give this item 3 stars. Not because the small diameter coupler broke, (that was my fault). But because of the customer service trying to see if I could get the part. But happy to say after doing some searching (yeah I still wish they'd make it a little easier). But found the right place on the Wilton website and once I did I will say I got rather fast response, (as in the same day) that they would be sending a replacement part. So I would highly recommend this especially if you've got arthritis in your hands.

I did not receive a new one, it's used. I'm not returning it - waited a LONG time to receive it. I am going to run it thru the dishwasher to clean the black stuff off of the inside.

I bought this is cut down on waste and clean up and it does that. It just doesn't really hold a lot of icing (on in my case whipped Shea butter). And so for that reason, I can't quite give it five stars.The assembly is simple enough and it is easy to clean. You just need to get used to the parts and make sure you have them assembled properly. There also a good amount left over once the plunger has reached the end. So if you're selling a product like me, that could be frustrating and time consuming when filling big orders.Bottom line: stick with parchment bags or pastry bags. This isn't worth the money or added annoyance.

I guess I need to read the fine print and not let my eyes tell me what I'm seeing. I thought the tube that held the frosting was metal, but it's plastic. It worked great, but I felt that I had to be gentle with it, especially when it came to screwing the decorating tip to the bottom. It seemed if it wasn't perfectly aligned, I would easily strip the threading.

I have owned a cake decorating unit and a pastry bag but the unit I own had a plastic piece that broke off. The Wilton Dessert Decorator Pro had more metal pieces so I thought I'd give it a try. I did 12 scratch made vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and glazed orange peel and I had a good experience piping the frosting I made.
