This is the book to buy for climbing in Washington Pass! It narrows down the routes to the classic climbs of WA Pass, providing super detailed topos and beautiful photos, while still having enough routes to find the perfect route for anyone. I have also found myself flipping through this book just reading the history of the FAs of these routes. You can tell the author clearly knows his climbing history and it even says he interviewed first ascentionists to add details to the history of these climbs. Definitely provides an added element when climbing to be able to learn about the history of that route and the story behind the climb and this area. Finally after using this book for climbs on SEWS, NEWS, Liberty Bell, Silver Star, and in the Whine Spires I have yet to be led astray which definitely can not be said for all the guidebooks out there and speaks to the time and effort that was put into each climb.
