I throw it against a practice wall at the tennis court, and catch it. Great exercise if you are alone.

Needed a softball to throw up against a brick wall for preseason practice and this ball works perfectly. It may be slightly heavier than a standard softball but not enough to be an issue. Have only used a couple times and the letters have worn off but no cracks or other durability issues.

Material is durable and strong for practice. Great for practicing pitching against a wall. Super bouncy. Great buy. Exactly what I was looking for.

My GSD loves this ball! Very bouncy and sturdy! He has chewed on it and it's stayed whole!

an official ball is 6.6 ounces, this is a bit heavier at 7.7 ounces, but it's the perfect ball to throw against a wall for practice. Hitting probably not so much.

I've had a rubber coated softball since I was a kid. Decades. A wound core, with a rubber cover. Great for throwing against a wall to keep an aging arm in shape. But it finally bit the dust, so I ordered this ball as a replacement. But when they say sponge center, they mean it. Bounces like crazy, think super ball crazy. This ball will work, but it comes back fast off of the wall and I'll need to work on reaction time, and on being prepared, to keep it from getting past me.

Great product to increase grip strength. However, it is too soft and overpriced.

Dog loves it! Always wanted to knock 'em over the fence (the ball, not the dog)? Home runs are easy with this ball. It does wear quickly with the dog (a GSD) as she likes to tear at it.

I have always used rubber coated hardballs to practice against a concrete wall. They are the same size and weight as baseballs, just with a rubber cover. This softball may or may not be the same weight as a softball. It is close. But it is very soft on the outside. It does not fell like a softball.<br />It will do for close up toss against the wall and catch, but you would not want to throw this with any velocity. It would affect your arm, even in softball. If you just touch it on a table you would think it is a kids rubber ball. But I found nothing else out there.
