In the Wisconsin winters if you work outside you need to have all the base layers from under Armour in your wardrobe as each set it for different temps but the 2.0 is the best pair cause as the days warm up they won't burn you up but still just enough to keep your body warm. It's like a second skin that does not bunch up or roll up under your clothes. They stay in place. And this is a very different material from what they used to use. They used to be heavier they must have figured out you don't need all the material.

The UA 2.0 base is the perfect weight, and is comfortable for me personally. I tried the 3.0 and it is to thick of a fitted shirt for me to comfortably wear. The base shirts aren't skin tight, but they arent loose either. I am 5 10 and 155 pounds and the large fits with a slight bit of extra room. It is tighter in the shoulders than the midsection, and I do not have broad shoulders. Gonna stick with the 2.0 as it will work in cool or cold weather. Besides I live in the deep south and we usually don't have extreme cold weather, although right now its Christmas Eve, and we are having 4 consecutive days with the high temperatures in the 20's and 5-10 degree wind chills. Even in these temperatures, this shirt is more than adequate to me.

I have both the newer and older 2.0 version and do agree, that the older version is much warmer. That doesnt mean the newer version is better, but you should not longer compare them as the same rating. One of the complaints of the 2.0 was that there wasn't a lighter version, because it was a bit too warm if you intend to play sports with it. But the regular tech crews were too light. So UA re-did their number system. The new 2.0 is perfect for me if you are looking for a light weight baselayer. Great for baseball during a cold night , golf on a cool day...etc Those who miss the 2.0, they are now closer to the new 3.0, so I would give those a try if that is your case. Hope this info helps.

This is a great base layer for cycling. Wicks sweat, super comfy, long enough in the torso. Nice fit through arms and body, not bunching or too loose at the neck. Just a well-engineered product. And NOT ITCHY! I will buy more of these! I'm pretty good these will work well for running also.

I use these for snowboarding and playing lacrosse. They are not too heavy and not too thin. Works perfect as a base layer for anyone active.. Draws away sweat from your body as described. XL fit is good and I'm 6'4 225lb. Would buy these again.
