Definitely not blackout. Quite thin. Still pretty though. 2nd pic, I added my own blackout drapes behind the purple.

After tying tabs, the width is about 1/2 of what's advertised. Needed 4 panels to cover my 100" wide window. Love the look, though. I might reverse them so the back is in the front without the sheen.
