This was perfect for the grandkids toy box. Delivery and quality of this item was better than expected.

Ok the good first, it does dampen the lid closing on the toy box I made granddaughter. That being said it feels loose after several dozen uses but still working. Instructions look technical but are useless unless you are fluent in metric system and mechanical enough to figure out how to interpret the angle and spacing for anything other than a recessed hinge on your lid. Good fast delivery but there are probably other solutions out there that would be easier to use.

Needed this for a very old chest that we were turning into a toy box for a grandson. This works exactly has needed. Very slow closing so no smashed fingers.

I used metric ruler and level to mark, pilot, and install according to the instructions. Lid was an inch and a half away from closing. Uninstalled and checked my measurements spot on. Ended up figuring out the mechanics of how it worked, why it wasn't closing and made my own template. A 5 minute job took an hour of monkeying around. My advice is make sure you see how it's designed to work/collapse prior to drilling.

The instructions were unreadable. The measurements given were not in inches, but in some unidentified scale, perhaps millimeters. The mechanism is not intuitive. It nearly impossible to get it to function without mounting it, but mounting is impossible without instructions. My visual interpretation of the instructions is that mounting requires precise measurement of distance and angles. Perhaps one with considerable experience in using this type of hardware could figure it out. I could not. I threw it in the trash.

I bought one, thinking it was enough at the time, but then felt the lid of the toy box might be too heavy so I bought a second many months later. First one installed and operated just fine, but the second one slowed the the speed of the lid even more. But to be clear, one is all I needed. The lid is relatively heavy, perhaps 15lbs or more. I'm almost finished with the box.Regarding the installation instructions: the manufacturer did send me an email to english instructions which I didn't end up using since I didn't want to spend the time looking through my emails. But this is so easy to install the instructions in chinese would not have helped anyways. Make sure you have a metric ruler which I didn't have. Measure, punch, predrill and install. Super easy and fast. If someone had problems with this installation in the purpose I used them for, consider everyone's skill sets are different.I would buy them again. We'll see how they hold up to use over the next few years.

They claim the following in their ad: VOCOMO Lid Stay 105 Degree Open with Soft Close, Lid Support Hinge for Toy Box, Easy Install it neither closes softly and is NOT EASY TO INSTALL.

Good quality product

I was worried this wasn't going to work for the toy chest I was fixing but this was perfect. Plus it was super easy to install. Love that it holds the lid open too.

Very well made product, although I ordered the incorrect part fro my application I was not able to use it. Will keep for another project.

It was simple to install and works well

It worked well on a heavy lidded toy box.

The directions were in metric, but the seller was aware of that and had contacted us to see if we needed other instillation instructions and had them ready for us right away.
