I used it as a gun bag, to put several rifle carrying cases in and secured it with a lock. It was tough enough to slide into the old truck bed for an interstate move without abrasion and showed no signs of wear or strain while carrying about 200lbs of gear; even on the seemingly small hardware. It tried to drag the ground when slung over my shoulder because the strap goes from the middle to the end but would probably be good for tent and tripod duty.

Fits my 6 person tent perfectly. Had to buy a this bag because I can never fit my tent into those little bags they come with. Thick. Quality. Love it!

This was a perfect checked bag for my international move to Berlin. I packed my shoes and most of my clothes and the bag was just under the 50lb limit. It worked exactly as I hoped. Definitely be careful with the strap if you fill the bag to that 50lb limit, it will put a lot of pressure on your shoulder. I had some marks on my shoulder the next day, but they went away quickly.
