Mission: To conserve the unique plant and animal habitat, clean water, and scenic beauty and places for people to enjoy outdoor recreation in the mountains of western North Carolina and east Tennessee for the benefit of present and future generations. We achieve this by forging and maintaining long-term conservation relationships with private landowners, owning and managing land and encouraging strong, healthy local communities.
Results: Over 70,000 acres protected to date.
Target demographics: We provide important benefits to our environment, communities and economies by preserving the natural, cultural and agricultural heritage of western North Carolina and east Tennessee. Conservation improves the quality of life and preserves healthy land for food and recreation.
