I got this feed in a pinch when my local stores were out of my usual layer pellet feed. I started mixing it in with my pellet feed just trying to wait out the shortage. my chickens loved it so much that they would eat the scratch and peck while leaving the pellets. Now I just feed the scratch and peck. Happy Hens.

We are raising winter chicks in a cold climate so high quality feed is essential. We switched to this because of issues with a store brand that was giving our growing chicks issues with pasty butts and digestion problems. We lost several chicks. Switching to this feed was a large price increase but solved all their issues. We ferment it and it makes it go further, using 20-30 less. We will stick with this brand. I wish I could find it locally and at a better price but at this point I am grateful to get good feed at all with everything going on in the country.

High quality ingredients however compared to new country organics this feed has more larger seed pieces and isn't as crumbled as it should be for new baby chicks. I would consider this a grower more than a starter. But overall high quality I will buy again.

I love this feed and my 8 girls and roo do too! I ferment the feed so there is very little waste. This was my first purchase and the feed was fresh and a good mix of ingredients. We plan to continue using this product! The girls started laying about 4 weeks ago and are averaging 4-5 eggs a day (and the eggs are sooo good!) I've even sprouted the grains and that's a hit too! I highly recommend especially if you ferment!!

The chickens love this, and we use it sparingly, so it lasts a long time. My layers never quit laying this summer in the heat, like they usually do. Coincidence? :-D

This feed looks and smells great. My chickens really like it. I've tried other brands and they don't eat that as much. If you can ferment this feed, it goes much farther, increasing the value, otherwise it can be pricey.

I have raised chickens for over 21 years of experimented with all types of feed options this is by far the most impressive feed I've ever seen.Chickens did amazing on it and you can see actual ingredients in it not just compressed saw dust lol .If your a chicken fanatic give this stuff a shot

The feed is super. My chickens love it. It is expensive but the quality is what you are paying for. Not happy that there is so much breakdown and dusty. I tried fermenting it but chicks did not like it that way.

This arrived in a box that was leaking feed. When I opened the box, it looks like the bag I received was already open. This is a good product that I normally order from chewy without problems.

My backyard hens absolutely love this feed. You can tell its great quality ingredients. My Hens production went up and their eggshells are grocery store hard! Its a bit pricey but its worth it. As they say, you pay for what you get!
