My son is in 3rd grade and has fun working in this book. I enjoy the way this book makes the kids think think 'outside the box' to come up with words and sometimes learn new ones.

I am a third grade teacher and use this as an intervention. I love it! I actually have older kids work with my 3rd graders on these. Some can be a little difficult but great way to use word sounds and change them up to make new words. I highly recommend!

I bought this for my 3rd grader to use as part of our homeschooling and we are enjoying it so far! It is a great way to practice spelling and boost vocabulary. This one does not have as specific clues as the younger level, it just gives the clue as to the meaning of the next word up on the ladder, and does not tell which letter to choose. It is a fun challenge for my son and we are both enjoying it!

I love these and was saddened to find out that they didn't have the next grade for my oldest son who also loved doing these with me. My younger son is still coming around, but these are definitely informative, expands vocabulary, and sometimes even challenges me in the older graded books.

Super fun, we do it in the car and the way kids learn, it really sticks. Just get it and keep it in the car, it's like playing scrabble without the board.

These are fun to puzzle out! DD likes them better than any other form of handwriting practice so far... and they are good for printing practice, since many of the letters are repeated several times as you go up the ladder.

Fine for a workbook. Good to use over the summer to maintain progress. Some of the words are very difficult and not commonly used.
